Description and Local Attractions

All Idaho Power campgrounds, parks, boat ramps and other recreation sites are now open.

Campgrounds fill up quickly. Reservations are strongly encouraged to ensure you will have a spot when you arrive.

Restroom buildings and showers remain closed until further notice. Portable restrooms or vault toilets are available at most sites. RV dump sites and the fish-cleaning station at Woodhead park are open.

We encourage all visitors to practice safe social-distancing and prevent the spread of disease by following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention https://www.cdc.gov/ .

Please enjoy the outdoors safely, and remember to wear a safety vest when recreating in, on or around the water!

Copperfield Park includes 12 acres of manicured lawn, paved roads, terraced landscaping and numerous trees. Get the latest stream flow and reservoir water level information.

Day use in the park is free.

  • 59 RV sites with water and electric hookups (30-amp)
  • 10 tent sites with shared water
  • Picnic area with tables
  • Fire rings
  • Additional vehicle and boat trailer parking available
  • Public pay phone (phone card required for non-local calls)
  • Boat launch and docks located approximately one-half mile downstream of the park, on Homestead Road

Road status: Call 541-785-7251 to get a recorded status update about the road condition between Oxbow and Hells Canyon Dam. This is road is sometimes closed due to maintenance or road conditions.

Applicable state taxes will be added to all fees. Reservation fee is non-refundable.

Cancellations

Reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to arrival date for a refund of campsite fees. Follow these steps to cancel a reservation:

Rules

There is a 14-day stay limit for all parks.

Check-in time is 2 p.m. MDT (local park time).

Check-out time is 1 p.m. MDT (local park time).

Only one camping unit (maximum eight persons) per designated campsite is permitted.
