Description and Local Attractions

Located directly below C.J. Strike Dam, approximately 24 miles south of Mountain Home.

Strike Dam Cutoff Road is NOW OPEN!!!  

Water at Scout Park is temporarily unavailable until further notice. Restrooms are closed. Please use the facilities at Locust or North park.

Scout Park provides visitors with 10 acres of recreational opportunities located directly below C.J. Strike dam. There is a reservable day-use picnic shelter. Get the latest stream flow and reservoir water level information.

Day use in the park is free.

Campsite Fees

Tent site $8/night
Picnic shelter $75/day*
*Includes $25 reservation fee

Winter (Nov. 1 - March 31)

RV site $5/night
Tent site $4/night

Applicable state taxes will be added to all fees. Reservation fee is non-refundable.


Reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to arrival date for a refund of campsite/picnic shelter fees. Follow these steps to cancel a reservation:

There is a 14-day stay limit for all parks.Check-in time is 2 p.m. MDT (local park time).

Only one camping unit (maximum eight persons) per designated campsite is permitted.
